Wonderful Shoe
After having used a few different Capezio shoes and having them die too quickly, this pair of shoes has been great. They break in nice and slowly so that they last longer, and once they are broken in they stay stiff enough to last a bit longer. I like the feathered box and the shape of this shoe on my foot. Much better than the wider box of the glisse – there’s a more graceful line to this one. The shank also feels stiffer than what I have had in the past, which helps when you have very strong feet that break in shoes quickly. These lasted through one performance and are still going.
Easy to break in for a beginner
This was my first pair of pointe shoes. I found them incredibly easy to break in and work with, as a beginner, but they broke down too quickly, and soon had to be replaced. Also, the box is smaller than it appears in the picture, and I personally prefer the lines and support of a wider box.

Tight in the toe area but that can be adjusted
I got these for my 13 year old daughter who has a long, slender foot. She wanted to send them back because they were too tight in the toe area. Luckily before I wasted my money on return postage I found a suggestion that said to place a wooden spoon inside the shoe to stretch it out to fit better in the toes. Since these type of dance shoes are supposed to fit snug ordering a larger shoe size isn’t recommended. This will most likely result in the shoe being loose and not as good for dance class/practice.
The wooden spoon trick worked and my daughter loves these shoes. Worth the extra price spent for a good shoe that will last.
